We are the fast-food generation.

Everything we want is instant, quick and disposable. In this rat race we are producing more, consuming more and disposing more than ever. Our landfills are filling up at extraordinary speeds. Our waters are being polluted like never before. A direct impact of all this can be seen in our  immediate history where 2010 saw the worst-floods in the history of Pakistan. 2011 was not as bad as the year before but quite devastating nevertheless. This year again floods are expected and are anticipated to be worse than 2010.

We need to take responsibility of our actions and need to take it fast. The average age is on the decline and by the time we graduate from university we have reached 50% of the average life-span of a Pakistani. If we don’t act now, it will be too late and we instead of parks, we will leave landfills for the next generation. We should Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. We should be Responsible.

Take a look at the picture below to see how long it takes for everyday items we consume to degrade.

Go Green and go biodegradable!
