36 companies to get CSR Business Excellence Award 2012
LAHORE: National Forum for Environment and Health (NFEH) has announced the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Business Excellence Award-2012 for 36 companies showing best performance.
During the final meeting of the jury to announce results of 4th International Summit on CSR 2012 for best performance of 2011-12 here, the NFEH President Naeem Qureshi said the award has been instituted to recognize and promote the organizations making outstanding contribution for sustainable future through CSR Initiative.
The objective of the award is to recognize companies and organizations and media for their valuable support for social development, and this year, more than 87 companies and organizations had submitted their nominations.
A three-member jury comprising Dr. Kaiser Waheed, Zaheer Beg, EVP, National Bank of Pakistan and Gulzar Firzo, Chairman Standing Committee on Environment, FPCCI, had finalized the name of following 36 companies 1st CSR Business Excellence Award:
National Bank of Pakistan, The Citizens Foundation, English Biscuit Manufacturers, Pakistan Telecommunication Corporation, Total Parco Pakistan, Rural Support Programmes Network, Engro Corporation, Fauji Fertilizer Company, Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim, Pak Arab Refinery, Employees Old Age Benefits Institute, Procter & Gamble Pakistan, NOKIA Pakistan Mobile, Etihad Airways, Bank Al Falah, Rafhan Maize Products Co, Change in Education, CITI BANK, MCB Bank, Martin Dow Pharmaceutical, Agility Logistics, Linde Pakistan, Adamjee Insurance Company, ACC Polymers, PharmEvo, Greenwich University, Abbott Laboratories (Pakistan), The Karachi Electric Supply Company, Pak Suzuki Motor Company, Bin Qutab Group, Ali Akbar Group, Packages Ltd, Engro Power Gen Qadirpur and Atiq-ur-Rehman on best media campaign News One/TV One/FM 91, Dawn News awarded for CSR award.
Qureshi said that award ceremony would be held here on 28th of this month and Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa would be the chief guest, while, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s President would be the guest of honour.
He said the 4th CSR Summit 2012 would also be held on the same day, where local and foreign experts would deliver their research papers and speeches. This event would be supported by United National Environmental Programme (UNEP).
